Join us on Friday in the Bride's hometown for some family-friendly fun. We will be holding a Hindu Wedding Ceremony and a Sangeet. A "sangeet" in Sanskrit literally means as sung together. This is time for celebrating, singing, and dancing. We will have a henna artist, a traditional Indian buffet, and the Hindu Wedding Ceremony.
Travel from DC: UPDATED 9/21: In lieu of a shuttle bus, we are offering complimentary Uber rides to & from The Marriott. Go to the "Promotions" tab in your Uber app and enter "WEDDINGHABASHEVENT" before requesting your ride. We encourage guests to take UberX and try to ride with a guest.
However you get there, you should account for potential rush hour traffic. The Marriott is 25 miles outside of DC.

We met less than a mile away, and had our first date a block away at Agora Restaurant -- so it only made sense that we get married here!
Due to the space restrictions (we have an enormous amount of loving family and friends!) and our desire for an intimate Ceremony and Reception, we ask that the evening be reserved for adults and children over 13 years of age. We will be able to provide babysitting services nearby on Saturday night--please let us know in advance if you need it!
Attire: Cocktail attire is requested. Indian attire is optional.
How to Get to the Carnegie: The Beacon Hotel and Rouge Hotel are located a block from the Carnegie. Shuttle service will be provided from the Marriott Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg, MD (if you're coming from Gaithersburg, you can either take the shuttle, Uber, or drive).
Metro: Red Line/Dupont Circle is the closest metro stop. Use the Dupont Circle South exit (19th and Connecticut Ave).
Parking: The nearest parking garage is Colonial Parking at 1616 P Street NW, a block away from the Carnegie Institution. Street parking is also available in the local neighborhood but is quite limited.
